I guess I need to just let it all out!

Well, I haven't had the best past two weeks. :( It started on the last Sunday in April, after Casey left for a week in Dallas. I was vacuuming the family room, and hadn't cleaned under the furniture since we moved in, so I decided to move the furniture to clean, and I also rearranged the room as well. I love the way it looks now, and was so proud of myself, but the next day I was feeling it! My lower back started hurting mid-day and it just got worse from there! I ended up calling my friend Meryt, who had just moved from Nebraska the previous day and lives down in Aurora (south east suburb) and she came up to help with the girls while I spent most of my time on the couch. I had ordered pizza for delivery (something I haven't done since college!!!) and just hung out on the couch with the heating pad. I don't know what I would have done without her!!
The next day didn't get any better. We had an appointment on the CU campus for a psychology study that Leah will be a part of. I felt okay for most of the morning, but all of the sudden I got a really bad stomachache on the way home. Walking it off didn't help, and I almost took the girls to a friend's house for the afternoon. I got the three of us in the house, and found relief in the bathroom. I then made a quick lunch, and got the girls down for naps, and spent the rest of the afternoon on the couch. My friend Stacey came over that evening, bringing McDonald's for the girls, and put them to bed for me. Thank you Stacey! Well, it got worse as the night went on. Stacey had said I could call her if I needed anything, and I ended up calling her around 10:30 that night, after talking to the on-call OB about what I could take to alleviate the tummy pains I was having.... it seriously felt like I was having a never-ending contraction!!! I was told I could take Imodium, and since we didn't have any, and I didn't want to wake the girls to take them with me, I called Stacey and she went out (after she had been in bed) and got me some Imodium, cranberry juice, and Cherry 7-Up, and then stayed with me for about an hour and a half. I threw up about 30 seconds after taking the Imodium (first time to do that in all 3 pregnancies), but then tried again, and it went down. Also, before I called Stacey, I was sitting on the couch and just couldn't get warm. When I called her, and was telling her everything, she told me to take my temp. I got out the girls' ear thermometer (that's all we have!) and I ended up having a temp of 101. By the next day I felt better, on the temp front anyway.
On Wednesday, I took the girls to Stacey's house so I could have a quiet day to myself to just relax and not do anything. I didn't get to rest much, but had a good day. I went to see the chiropractor, who said to stop using the heating pad and to ice my back instead, got a full body massage, and also went to see my primary care physician about my stomach. She told me I had a stomach virus, which has been going around, and was only lasting around 24 hours - mine ended up being 3 1/2 days! She gave me Vicadin to help with the pain because that is one of the only stronger pain meds that is okay to take during pregnancy. After I took the first one, it didn't help me at all, so I didn't take it again, I just dealt with the pain, and eventually it went away! On our way home from Stacey's house, Jacqueline was telling me that her tummy hurt. She got the virus from me, and Leah got it a day later. I was so sad, as I knew exactly what they were going through and I couldn't do anything about it. Luckily, each of them had it for only a day, and by the time I was completely over it, they were too.
Well, this week I have a cold. I haven't felt as bad as I have felt in these two weeks in a very long time. I feel like I did every fall and spring finals week in college when I got my bi-annual cold. At that time, I would take DayQuill and feel like myself again, but I can't take that with the pregnancy, so I've tried Sudafed, which didn't work, and now an off brand of Mucinex, which helped a little bit. A bunch of people on Facebook think I may have allergies, but this would be the first time ever for that, as I have been lucky enough to not have them like the majority of my family. I guess I will just let this run it's course, but I may go to the doctor next week just to see.
I went to the chiropractor last Monday and have an appointment again this Monday. I've decided I am going to start going regularly this pregnancy, as I have a lot more to do around the house, and a lot more work with the day care here at the new house. I really need to take care of myself!

On a happy note, I told my friend Jeynae the other day about the baby. She questioned it with something Monica said on FB, so I called her and confided. I didn't tell her because I really wasn't sure what she would say. She's probably one of my best friends, and I tell her everything, but I knew she had gone through a lot with trying to get pregnant and then when I found out, she was about to pop, so I just didn't tell her. I kept wrestling with the idea, and am so happy that I told her. She was very happy for me, so that made it all worth it.
Also, I'm 98% sure I felt the baby move last night!! I was sitting in a chair in the living room, reading my book, and kept feeling something funny in my tummy. Casey was skeptical, but I really think it was the baby. I didn't feel Jacqueline until a lot later, and I felt Leah around 15 weeks when we were in Aruba, so at 13 weeks, I could very well have felt the baby move! Yes, the baby is still very small, but this time around I know much more of what I am feeling, as I have experienced it twice before. I'll keep you posted. ;)

Planning to get cards out, hopefully this week, so then the whole world will know! I go to the doctor a week from Tuesday, so hopefully we will then have a date for the ultrasound. Not sure if I want to find out, but as Ali said, this time around there is a entire room to decorate, so it would be nice to know, but I still like the element of surprise as well. :)
